I award 10 stars? 100? This was without doubt the absolute best VRBO
experience we have ever had, and we have rented probably 100+ VRBO
properties over the years all over Europe and Italy. The property itself
is stunning -- you are in the most luxurious "cave" imaginable. The
bathroom is gorgeous with modern fixtures. High-quality bed linens and
towels. The view from the terrace is drop-dead stunning. You are
perfectly located to walk to everything you would want to do or see in
Matera. There is a very nice restaurant right next door. But the hosts
are what make this place so amazing. Gianfranco and Rosalba are the most
generous, giving hosts we have every encountered. Gianfranco picked us
up at the garage and returned us there at the end of our stay. That was a
godsend. Upon our arrival, the cave was full of food and beverages for
us! Coffee, milk, fresh pastries -- an entire tart! A bottle of wine!
There was fruit (apples, kiwi, pears), two kinds of cereal, bread,
salami, pasta, olive oil, a can of Italian tomatoes, garlic! Gianfranco
was super responsive and helpful in every way. I HIGHLY recommend this
property! One hint: use the underground section of the garage - much
cheaper and very easy with instructions in English. |
